Javier from St. Bridget has sent us some pictures of a lily Iris bucharica very little in the Canaries. We are facing a kind of easy cultivation of glossy leaves and very fragrant flowers. The flowers bloom along the joints of the petioles of the leaves and stems, the petals are creamy white and pale yellow helmet with a darker lip. It blooms in late winter / early spring and can reach a height of 45 cm. As Harvey tells it grows best in sunny areas as it does not flower in the shade, their growing season begins in February and requires cool winters, making it suitable for high and medium elevation areas north of the Canary Islands. The copyright of the photos belong to their author, Javi. Thank you very much mate.
