I often suspect that biologists from the departments of Environmental Impact Assessment and I have not studied the same race. Apparently we have the same degree, but the knowledge differ significantly. I just came this thought to mind after reading an article in which the director of the work of doubling of the ring Reef, claimed that paralyze the work during the months of April, May and June to observe the nesting season of snowy plover. I imagine that all the good people who have read today the province, would have felt comforted to know that you save this endangered species, but to me the image that has been to mind is that next year, some of these people well, run over or kill their young adults who have been protected this year. Yes, could have played another year.
is quite widespread as a corrective measure in environmental impact statements to include stops biological infrastructure during construction where there are endangered species. Well, this is an outrage. Generally
not have to do work in breeding season in any place where animals can reproduce and that the destruction of nests and litter is prohibited by law, and in those places which plays a threatened species should not ever be the infrastructure, with rare exceptions in which once built will not affect the quality of habitat or life of individuals.
Indeed, the species do not breed each time in a different place, but tend to do in places with suitable habitat for them. Moreover, many species have enormous loyalty to their territory, so it will spoil the year condition is constructed in the following years.
So please, biologists in this country which you dedicate to environmental impact studies or environmental impact statements, directly prohibit the works in time breeding that may involve the destruction of any kind made and not allow the construction of projects shocking if you live there is a threatened species. Meanwhile
fingers crossed for the poor plovers will have to dodge the car wheels.
